How my journey began

More Than an Author. A Survivor, a Storyteller, and a Sister in Faith.

Hi, I’m Tiffany Velasquez! I am a wife, homeschooling mom, and passionate follower of Jesus Christ. I write with raw honesty, drawing from my own journey through trauma, confusion, and ultimately redemption. I was raised in a complicated mix of distorted religion and family dysfunction. I found myself searching for love, identity, and healing in all the wrong places, like so many others, before discovering what it truly means to be known and loved by God.

I had always wanted to be a writer since I was in high school, I just never got around to it. I started many projects, but with life taking over, I never finished any. In 2025, I felt God leading me to write my own story. My debut book, Alone, but Not Really, tells my story in a deeply personal and powerful timeline interweaving my testimony, reflection, and God’s truth. Each chapter ends in a mini devotional, reflection questions, and a heartfelt prayer. I invite you to look for God’s hand in even the darkest seasons of your life.

When I’m not writing or teaching my two kids, I enjoy sipping on Ghost energy drinks or Diet Coke, reading fiction books, and spending quiet time with my Bible. Me and my little family are from California, but now live in Indiana and continue learning how to walk in faith, grace, and love, one imperfect step at a time.
